The International Workshop on Mathematical Methods for Chip Design Automation is sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and is to be held at the Center for Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science, Fuzhou University, Fujian, China, March 14 - March 16, 2014.
Due to the increasingly high complexity of modern chip design, CAD tools become vital for delivering high VLSI system performance. Many of the leading VLSI CAD tools are built upon mathematical techniques, e.g., the graph and combinatorial optimization techniques, the mathematical programming approaches.
The objective of this workshop is to bring together researchers in VLSI CAD, graph theory and combinatorial optimization. The workshop will focus on mathematical problems and methods in VLSI CAD, especially problems and methods that interest researchers on graph theory and optimization. The themes of the workshop include but not limited to:
Circuit partition; placement; routing; timing optimization; clocktree design; steiner tree; maximum flow; multicommodity flow; disjoint path and tree; facility location; bin packing; traveling salesman problem; high performance nonlinear programming algorithms.
